Cardiff-Swansea varsity match – Litter pickers required March 30th

The annual Cardiff v Swansea Varsity sports day is taking place in Cardiff. Most games will be held during the day on Pontcanna fields, before the flagship rugby match in the Millennium Stadium at 7.30pm. The University have agreed to make a donation to Keep Wales Tidy’s Group Grant pot if we manage the site for litter during the day. With 2500 spectators expected this is great opportunity to promote the work of KWT, raise some vital funds and encourage students to sign up to ‘I Will’ for Wales.
We need to muster a team of volunteers to patrol the fields from 12-6pm to litter-pick rubbish and promote the ‘I Will’ campaign.
Volunteers who work for at least 2 hours will be given a free ticket to watch the rugby match (cost £10) and a free Keep Wales Tidy ‘I Will’ T-shirt.
