River Ogmore

Saturday, 27 October, 9:30 am12:00 pm

For our next event we’re taking a little trip to the seaside (well, close to it, anyway) and doing a clean up of the River Ogmore.

We are meeting at 09:30 — a slightly earlier start — in the car park on the right-hand side of the B4524 between Ewenny and Ogmore-by-Sea, about 3/4 of a mile after ‘The Pelican in her Piety’ pub. (Map below.)  The postcode CF32 0PA will get you there.

There will be something for everyone. We will be looking to get as many tyres and trolleys out of the river as we can, and to litter-pick all the way along the river bank. Sadly, there is always plenty to do.

High tide is just before 09:00, so will be on the way out as we work.

If anyone needs a lift, please let us know and we’ll try to sort something out.

All tools and equipment — gloves, litter-pickers, bags, hoops,
safety glasses, etc — will be provided. (But if you have your own litter picking equipment, please bring it along. We’re getting so many volunteers now that we do risk running out of things!)

Please wear wellies, boots or stout shoes, and suitable ‘working’ clothing.

The forecast is currently for fine weather, but you might want to bring waterproofs in case of rain

Come along and Make A DIFFerence!
