Hamadryad Park (revisited)
Saturday, 5 January, 9:45 am – 12:00 pm
At our last event we cleared a huge amount of rubbish that’d been washed down the Taff and trapped by the reeds.
However, there’s still a lot of rubbish there, so we thought we’d kick off 2019 by going back and clearing some more!
Wellies or good boots are strongly advised, as it’s wet and muddy. If you have waders, even better! (We’ll have a few pairs available for people to borrow.)
For those who prefer to stay on drier and more solid ground, we’ll do a general litter-pick of the park, to help keep it looking its best.
We will probably be parking at Cardiff Yacht Club again (subject to getting kind permission), which is at the end of Windsor Esplanade, CF10 5BG — see map below. If the car park is unavailable, there’s street parking along Windsor Esplanade.
Once you’ve parked, just walk down into Hamadryad Park, under the flyover, and follow the path round to the left.
All tools and equipment — gloves, litter-pickers, bags, hoops,
safety glasses, etc — will be provided.
You might also want to bring waterproofs in case of wet weather.
Come along and Make A DIFFerence!
