+ Google Map

This Friday, 19 October, we will be cleaning up the "Dr Who Beach" in Cardiff Bay, meeting at 13:45 for a 14:00 start. We'll be being filmed for TV, so if you have a CRG T-shirt — preferably the blue "Sponsored by emr" type — please wear it! (If you don't yet have one, we should have some spares available on the day.) There will be plenty of rubbish to clean up following Storm Callum, lots of stuff having been…

Ogmore CF32 0PA + Google Map

For our next event we're taking a little trip to the seaside (well, close to it, anyway) and doing a clean up of the River Ogmore. We are meeting at 09:30 — a slightly earlier start — in the car park on the right-hand side of the B4524 between Ewenny and Ogmore-by-Sea, about 3/4 of a mile after 'The Pelican in her Piety' pub. (Map below.)  The postcode CF32 0PA will get you there. There will be something for everyone.…

Llanishen Brook (Merlin Close)

Thursday, 8 November, 2018, 9:45 am12:00 pm
Llanishen Brook (Merlin Close) Cardiff, CF14 9AW + Google Map

We have been asked by Cardiff Parks to help with a problem with Llanishen brook. A long section of the brook is overgrown again and the vegetation has been completely taken over, so the stream disappears from view under brambles. Our mission (should we chose to accept it) will be to cut the overgrowth back to the edge of the bank and remove the vegetation obscuring the view of the stream, improving access to a culvert and grill. For those…

Grangemoor Park Cardiff, CF11 0JR United Kingdom + Google Map

We'll be pulling reeds in the pond, clearing vegetation from some ditches, and doing a litter-pick around the park and along the Ely trail. Something for everyone! Come along and Make A DIFFerence! All tools and equipment — gloves, litter-pickers, bags, hoops, safety glasses, etc — will be provided. Please wear wellies, boots or stout shoes, and suitable 'work' clothing, as it will probably be muddy. You might also want to bring waterproofs in case of wet weather. Some pairs…

CANCELLED – Hamadryad Park

Saturday, 1 December, 2018, 9:45 am12:00 pm

Sadly, we're forced to cancel this Saturday's event at Hamadryad Park. Yet again, we've been beaten by the weather. The heavy rain we've just had, with more forecast tomorrow, means that the volume of water flowing down the Taff will be too high on Saturday to work safely in the reeds and along the water's edge at Hamadryad Park. We aim to re-arrange this event sometime in the New Year.
