River Taff at Radyr
Saturday, 16 February, 9:45 am – 12:00 pm
We’ll be clearing up the gravel beach on the Radyr side of the Taff, near the cricket club.
An awful lot of rubbish has been washed up, especially by the high waters of Storm Callum last year, and needs removing.
Meet/park in the ‘new’ Radyr Station car park.
There is alternative parking on the other side of the river, at Forest Farm – CF14 7JJ – if that’s more convenient. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from there, over the river, to the car park where we’re meeting.
If you happen to turn up late, no problem – just walk down the access road to Radyr Cricket Club (through the gate at the bottom of the hill under the railway), and round the left-hand edge of the cricket field, through another gate and then follow the path round the left-hand edge of the meadow. You’ll soon find us! (See aerial map below.)
All tools and equipment — gloves, litter-pickers, bags, hoops,
safety glasses, etc — will be provided.
Please wear wellies, boots or stout shoes, and suitable ‘working’ clothing.
You might also want to bring waterproofs in case of wet weather.
Come along and Make A DIFFerence!
And this is where we’ll be working:
