Ball Lane, Llanrumney
Sunday, 14 April, 9:45 am – 12:00 pm
For our next event, on Sunday 14 April, we’ll be making a return to an old favourite: Ball Lane, Llanrumney, where there is always much to do.
For people who don’t mind getting wet, there will be some river work, up and down the River Rhymney.
Those who would, quite sensibly, prefer to remain dry will be litter picking on the banks of the river and surrounding areas.
We’re still after your scrap metal!
Basically, anything you want to get rid of that’s made, or contains a reasonable amount, of metal, large or small. A lot of small quantities soon add up! We will also take car batteries.
Please bring it along to any of our events — just let us know if you’re bringing quite a lot, and/or a large item (such as a bike), so we make sure we’ve got enough space.
We will then sell the items to keep us going! (We are a licenced waste carrier and will get best prices for all donations.)
All tools and equipment — gloves, litter-pickers, bags, hoops,
safety glasses, etc — will be provided. (But if you have your own litter picking equipment, please bring it along. We’re getting so many volunteers now that we do risk running out of things!)
Please wear wellies, boots or stout shoes, and suitable ‘working’ clothing.
You might also want to bring waterproofs in case of wet weather.
Come along and Make A DIFFerence!
