Wild Gardens, Roath Park (‘Star Wars’ Event… May The Fourth! )

Saturday, 4 May, 9:45 am12:00 pm

We’ll be tackling Roath Park Wild Gardens and surrounding areas.

We’re delighted to be joined on this event by the Brave Dragons Explorer Scouts, from the 22nd Cardiff Scout Group, which is based nearby.

We’ll be litter-picking within the Wild Gardens, in the stream that flows through the gardens, and around the lake itself, as time permits.

No doubt the grille, where the stream flows into the lake, will be blocked, so we will be clearing that as well.

As this event is on May 4th, please feel free to come dressed as your favourite character from Star Wars. (May the Fourth be with you… geddit?)

All tools and equipment — gloves, litter-pickers, bags, hoops,
safety glasses, etc — will be provided. (But if you have your own litter picking equipment, please bring it along. We’re getting so many volunteers now that we do risk running out of things!)

Please wear wellies, boots or stout shoes, and suitable ‘working’ clothing.

You might also want to bring waterproofs in case of wet weather.

Come along and Make A DIFFerence!
