We will be tackling the pond at the junction of Heol Pontprennau and Green Acre Drive in Pontprennau.
Meet at the pond, junction of Heol Pontprennau and Green Acre Drive.
Parking is available in Asda or Cardiff Gate Retail Park car parks (a few minutes’ walk away), or considerately on nearby roads
The pond is extremely overgrown and so we’ll be cutting back willow trees (we will have a wood chipper with us, operated by the Rangers), removing reeds and bulrushes, clearing the paths round the pond, and doing a litter-pick of the surrounding area.
The pond is very shallow, so wellington boots should be fine. But we will be bringing waders with us, as well as all the tools we will need.
All tools and equipment — gloves, litter-pickers, bags, hoops,
safety glasses, etc — will be provided.
Please wear wellies, boots or stout shoes, and suitable ‘working’ clothing.
You might also want to bring waterproofs in case of wet weather and sunscreen in case it’s hot.
Come along and Make A DIFFerence!
