Hamadryad Park

Sunday, 24 November, 9:45 am12:00 pm

On Sunday morning, 24 November, we’ll be at Hamadryad Park.

At our last couple of events there, back in December 2018 and January 2019, we cleared a huge amount of rubbish that had been washed down the Taff and trapped by the reeds.

The areas we cleared then are now covered in reeds again, but are still pretty much litter-free underneath.

However, there’s a shocking amount of rubbish to remove from the reed beds we didn’t have time to cut-and-clear last time!

Wellies are strongly advised, as it’s wet and muddy. If you have waders, even better — please bring them along! (We’ll have a few pairs available for people to borrow.)

For those who prefer to stay on drier and more solid ground, we’ll do a general litter-pick of the park, to help keep it looking its best.

We *may* be able to park at Cardiff Yacht Club (subject to getting kind permission), which is at the end of Windsor Esplanade, CF10 5BG — see map below. If the Yacht Club car park is unavailable, there’s street parking along Windsor Esplanade and neighbouring roads.

Once you’ve parked, just walk down into Hamadryad Park, under the flyover, and follow the path round to the left.
