Pentwyn Leisure Centre
Saturday, 11 November, 2017, 9:45 am – 12:00 pm
We are returning to Pentwyn Leisure Centre. Our last visit here was on 5 March.
It’s a great excuse to get outside and enjoy the Autumnal scenes and join forces with the KWT local litter champs (Barbara and her posse).
As usual, we will cover the woods, the stream in as far as we can in both directions, the lake, the skate park, and we will be sending a hit squad under the A48 to the pool near the River Rhymney, which is usually a haven for shopping trolleys and motorbikes. There will be plenty to keep us busy!
As it will be Armistice (Remembrance) Day, we’ll down tools to observe the two minutes’ silence at 11:00, and then continue until 12:00.
All tools and equipment — gloves, litter-pickers, bags, hoops,
safety glasses, etc — will be provided.
Please wear wellies, boots or stout shoes, and suitable ‘work’ clothing, as it will probably be muddy.
You might also want to bring waterproofs in case of wet weather and sunscreen in case of a sudden heatwave.
Come along and Make A DIFFerence!
